Architect & Academic
Yann Hui is a British Chartered Architect with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and Architects Registration Board (ARB), with over a decade of international professional practice experience in architecture (2004–2016). He has been teaching architecture for over eight years (2016–present) and currently serves as an Assistant Professor and Committee Member of the international Architecture program at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Bangkok.
In his professional career, Yann played a pivotal role in the design and realization of the Mass Transit Railway Corporation's (MTRC) West Kowloon Station – Express Rail Link project (Hong Kong SAR), the world’s largest underground international high-speed rail station, spanning 468,200 m².
Currently pursuing a PhD in Architectural Heritage at Silpakorn University, Yann's research focuses on heritage high-speed rail stations, with a particular emphasis on balancing conservation with modernization.
Yann is proficient in all stages of architectural project development, from conceptual design through to construction, and has a deep passion for the integration of innovative design solutions within heritage contexts.
